Colm & Black Incorporated specializes in providing modern, single-bedroom rentals tailored specifically for students in Nova Scotia. Their mission is to create comfortable and stylish living spaces that foster a sense of community and enhance the student experience.
Where Quality Meets Functionality
We designed Colm & Black’s Wordpress site from the ground up with updated branding and a fresh new colour palette based on the rugged coast of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. We used the new look of Colm & Black to build a site that perfectly compliments their business and services.
We built wireframes and prototypes to ensure the site flowed perfectly across all pages. Showcasing their new student rentals was paramount and we integrated tour videos and image galleries for prospective student renters.
From Wireframes to Wordpress
We built custom wireframes in Figma to inform the design and functionality of the new website. Our goal was to build a site that was cohesive and spoke to the Colm & Black brand.
From the initial wireframes, we further refined our designs by building high-fidelity prototypes. We refined our prototypes through 4 versions with the final version presented to the client for approval.
Showcasing key features
Highlighting Colm & Black’s 3 and 4 bedroom rental key features was important to attract prospective student renters.
We integrated high-res 360 degree tour videos as well as photo galleries so students can experience the contemporary rental design elements digitally.
I collaborated with Jessica and Lynn at Left Designs to develop a website for my property rental business, Colm and Black. As someone who was completely new to website creation, I found their patience invaluable as they guided me through each step and addressed my many questions throughout the process. They were friendly, approachable, and always willing to assist with any edits or changes. I also appreciated their quick response times.
