Pulp and Paperie is a Toronto-based gift and paper goods store in the city’s east end. Pulp and Paperie has been the go-to destination for east-enders for exceptional greeting cards, gifts and accessories for over a decade.

A Fresh Start

We completely revamped Pulp & Paperie’s existing Shopify theme with custom CSS updates, and specially built theme sections to fit their business needs.

The home page now features their latest arrivals, featured product collections, a store map with opening hours, as well as their glowing customer testimonials.

Custom Product Pages

Enriched product information

Custom product pages are enriched with metafields to show off key information for customers.

With inventory ranging anywhere from jewellery to greeting cards, these customizations are vital to display more than a plain product description. Additional information like dimensions, care instructions, or materials are displayed based on individual product data.

Easy Filtering & Sorting

We created custom collections to display a variety of filtering options, depending on the product category and type.

Product metafields were employed for extra functionality and ease of use for anyone browsing the site.

Project Outline

Pulp & Paperie’s existing theme was customized to match their store’s colour scheme and personality. Custom sections were added to display key product and vendor information to customers.
The existing product inventory was updated with product descriptions, images, as well as products tags and metafields.
The existing product descriptions were streamlined to enhance SEO. To optimize the UX design of product pages, any additional product information was migrated into metafields to make the shopping experience more enjoyable.
Pulp & Paperie’s analog cash register was updated to the Shopify POS system. An iPad was integrated with a barcode scanner and receipt printer to bring the full Shopify system together for a seamless omnichannel shopping experience.
